Enhancing Manufacturing Efficiencies –

Improving Processes.

A case and luggage manufacturing company approached us with a request to review a specific section of their production process to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and reduction of manufacturing time. After conducting several on-site visits and thoroughly analyzing the workflow, we pinpointed two key areas where improvements could be made.

Based on our report, we were re-hired to design and implement solutions. One of our recommendations was to redesign the company’s latch assembly, eliminating a lengthy preparation step that was previously required. We designed, prototyped, and tested the new latch, then worked closely with the client’s vendor to produce a pilot batch for testing and validation. After successful testing, we negotiated production volume pricing that was cheaper than the original latches.

The new latches were cheaper, reduced the manufacturing time, and as an added bonus they were more aesthetically pleasing in the eyes of the client’s team and their customers.

Our second recommendation for manufacturing efficiency improvement was to add a set of jigs to a specific manufacturing station. We designed, built, and implemented custom jigs tailored to the unique needs of that station. These jigs and the new latches streamlined the process and reduced manufacturing time by nearly 40% for that specific station.

This project highlights our ability to deliver practical, hands-on solutions that directly impact production efficiency and overall productivity.
